FDCC JUNIORS

Faringdon and District Cricket Club welcomes you and your children to the club. We hope that your child(ren) will enjoy being a member and will enjoy the cricket coaching, training and matches. This page is to set out key information, but should you have any further questions please contact any of the people listed.

The club is run by, and reliant on, volunteers. If you feel that you can assist in any way, please let us know. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved including coaching, coach support, running the bar/ BBQ, groundwork etc- please do get in touch.

Parents are welcome to attend training and matches.

For children under 11 years old, parents are required to stay onsite during the session.

We have kept the cost of youth cricket as low as possible for 2026:

  • Under 11- Under 15: £65 for the full season including match, training fees and shirt, to be paid by 30/04/2026

  • A second child can be registered for £40, to be paid by 30/04/2026

  • Year 11, 12, 13 & Full time students £35 payable by 30/04/2026

As a club, we don't want financial reasons to be a barrier to anyone playing cricket. We therefore have a number of funded places available. If you wish to apply for one of these places, please contact the Club Welfare Officer: fdccsafeguarding@outlook.com.

This charge helps to cover the cost of equipment, insurance, pitch preparation, club maintenance etc. We want cricket at Faringdon to be as inclusive as possible, therefore other than an abdo- guard (or “box”), children do not need any further equipment. Club kit bags will be made available at training and matches.

Youth teams will play in colours this season. The shirts will be provided as part of the signing on process. We do ask that black trousers are worn for matches - these can be purchased from our club shop, however, any black joggers or black generic cricket trousers are fine.

As a club, we adhere to the ‘Safe Hands’ policy for safeguarding children. We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment. As such, all adults involved with youth coaching are DBS checked annually and first aid trained. Codes of Conduct are available on the website and by registering your child(ren) with the club, you agree to adhere to them.

Finally, if anyone is able offer or knows anyone who could provide sponsorship, a number of options are available, please get in touch.
